Who just loves being a Caribbean kitty cat, mmhh? OK, so it’s not a hotel dog. But, how could I not love this well-fed little guy sauntering around the yacht club at Saba Rock in the BVI like… well, like a cat who ate a canary? Or, perhaps, a very nice slice of Mahi Mahi.

Dog spotting in NOLA this weekend! French Quarter.

Introducing a new regular feature: Winstagram!

How did Mondrian Soho, the Gramercy Park Hotel and The Warwick know that I love these brands? Oh, how I love little bottles of hotel toiletries…

I don’t really need to say a dog’s life, do I? Too late!

This is how pups are treated at the lovely Mandarin Oriental Miami, which is downtown but perched on a tiny island in the bay, with its own man-made beach. Don’t you love the little gold fan collar tag? (Winnie is totes coveting one.)

As well as the collar tag, MO Miami pets (like Jennifer Aniston’s late terrier Norman, who lived here with Jen during the filming of Marley & Me) get the use of a pet bed, Miami-style bowls, treats and their own turndown service. Yes, there are also in-room dining options for dogs—but, like most dog owners, I like to keep my Win on her regular food, so I tend to ignore those menus.

The hotel offers free dog walking, once daily, and there’s a great 1.3 mile path circling Brickell Key, so walking your own pup is actually a pleasure.

Doggie Deets: Dogs under 30 pounds only. There is a $200 deposit, $100 of which is refunded at the end of your stay—if your dog hasn’t eaten the wallpaper and cushions.

This guy isn’t one of Kimpton’s Directors of Pet Relations, but he is chillin’ at a Kimpton hotel, the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles. Goofy, huh?

From my hotel photo archives…

This is a guest bathroom at The Bowery Hotel in New York.

That is my wedding dress.

Happy anniversary to me!

Winvian is a very fancy property in Litchfield County, CT, made up of individually designed cottages. Naturally, Miss Winifred approved when she visited a couple of years back.

Welcome to my country inn. Please do come in.

Where my Win spent her first night in Miami. But not before she ate a bunch of grass outside that hotel next door first.
